DORTMUND REJECTS BARCELONA BID, SUSPENDS DEMBELE

DORTMUND REJECTS BARCELONA BID, SUSPENDS DEMBELE

Borrusia Dortmund has issued a statement in respect of Barcelona target Ousmane Dembele. The team management officially reacted to the action of the French youngster being presently courted by Barcelona.

Barcelona is in serious hunt for a replacement for Neymar who was sold to Paris Saint Germain in a world record fee of €222 Million. Dembele is one of Barcelona’s main target to replace the talented Brazilian.

There now appears to be a new twist to the Dembele saga as Dortmund rejected a bid for the player from Barcelona and in reaction the player disappeared from training this morning without excuse and refused to pick his phone. Reports suggested that the Frenchman had done that to force the transfer.

Dortmund confirmed that talk was held over his transfer but bid was rejected because Barcelona’s offer did not meet the player’s ‘extraordinary footballing and other activities’ and the present economic market situation in Europe.

“Borussia Dortmund has held talks with FC Barcelona regarding the possible transfer of the BVB player Ousmane Dembele to FC Barcelona. During this meeting, the representatives of FC Barcelona submitted a bid which did not correspond with the player’s footballing and other abilities nor to the present economic market situation of the European transfer market. BVB therefore rejected this offer… As there is no other offer from FC Barcelona to date, there is currently no transfer of the player to FC Barcelona and this is not currently likely

On Dembele’s action, which the team has termed as clear disrespect, they have taken a drastic action against him and issued statement in respect. The statement reads

“Ousmane Dembele today missed the BVB-training-session without any excuse. The player seems to have done that intentionally… Because of that behavior we will sanction him. The player is still a Dortmund player. In consultation with our coach we have suspended him from all practice and match activities until next week after our cup game.”

It is reported that Dortmund is insisting on €135 Million for the 20 year old player but Barcelona is not ready to pay that much for the player.

ESCOBAR: IT WAS SIX SHOTS FOR ONE GOAL

ESCOBAR: IT WAS SIX SHOTS FOR ONE GOAL Growing up you must have heard about a certain Escobar who scored an own goal and was killed for doing that. This story tells us as much crazy as the FIFA World Cup can be, but wait was it just about a football match or there is another undertone to it? Let’s go find out what caused the death of “El Caballero del Futbol” (The gentleman of football). Coming to the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States, the Colombian team had been built to one of the strongest team in the World. They were so strong that the legendary Pele tipped them to make at least the Semifinal at the mundial. This was not an overstatement because in 26 matches leading to the 1994 World Cup, Colombia only lost a match out of 26. To prove further that they were contenders in the real sense of it, in the South America’s last World Cup qualifiers at Buenos Aires, the 1990 finalist and the host, Argentina needed a win against Colombia to qualify but were walloped 5-0 by th...
