BREAKING NEWS: BARCELONA AGREES DEAL TO SIGN BRAZILIAN MIDFIELDER

Barcelona agrees deal to sign BRAZILIAN midfielder

Barcelona has gotten a breakthrough in their quest to reinforce their squad this season as they have reportedly agree deal to bring to Camp Nou, Guangzhou Evergrande Midfielder Paulinho who has been in the Chinese Super League for two years

Paulinho was formerly with Tottenham Hotspur but was not able to impress and that led to his transfer to the CSL where he caught Barcelona’s attention. The deal for the Midfielder is said to be worth £36.5M. Barcelona already had three bids for the Midfielder turned down by Evergrande.

On Barca’s chase of Liverpool playmaker, Philippe Coutinho, Jurgen Klopp asked if the transfer request by the player changed anything, he said:

“You have to ask the club. I didn’t see the club today – those people. You have to ask them. But I don’t think so because I think it was pretty clear what the club, FSG, said about it”

The manager’s response still have left everything unclear, it means whether the club will sell Coutinho is dependent on what the transfer request does to the psyche of the owners and nothing to do with the manager.

On Ousmane Dembele, the manager says he will be holding talks with the board and also with the player and a decision will be announced tomorrow. With Real Madrid already in the race to sign the player, it makes it more difficult for Barcelona now as they will have to probably pay more than they would naturally bargain for.

Someone would say they were one of the hosts but Japan was the co-host and they could not go past the second round in spite of easier opponents. From the Coach Guus Hiddink, to goalkeeper Lee Woon Jae, Captain Hong Myung Bo, World Cup revelation Ji Sung Park and the whole South Korean team, none other became popular like the former Perugia star. Although it was a World Cup qualifier yesterday, today we are taking you to the second round of the 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina To appreciate what we are talking about, we need to explain the format of the FIFA World Cup those days. The World Cup did not have a clearly established format as it is today; the format is based on each World Cup as decided by the organizers. The 1978 World Cup format was such that the 16 qualified teams would be divided into four groups of four teams each. The winners and the runners up of all the groups would proceed to two groups of four teams. The winners of the Second round groups would proceed to the final. A winner of any match would be awarded 2 points while a draw attracts 3 points. Where there was a tie in points teams
